MTK Global is proud to confirm the signings of Wes Capper and Jamie Weetch – both of whom are emerging as leading lights of the Australian boxing scene.

Perth middleweight Capper (19-2-KO12) is undefeated since a pair of controversial decisions in 2015 and is currently preparing to take on the former IBF world champion Sam Soliman on March 17.
Capper said: “Signing with MTK Global is huge for me. Having been based in the States for the past three years, I’ve kept a keen eye on the UK scene and it was hard not to see the great things they’ve been doing for their fighters. “I’ve served my apprenticeship now and it’s time for the big fights and big names. With MTK Global behind me, I know they will come.”

Capper’s co-manager Anthony Connolly, added: “Wes is a fantastic athlete and a fabulous talent. He’s a fleet-footed middleweight with an exciting style. We’re excited to add him to the MTK Global family.”

Weetch (11-2-KO4) – a Welshman also based in Perth – is a former national amateur champion and having won the Pan-Pacific light-middleweight title with an impressive victory over Yao Yi Ma in December, he’s also set to graduate to the world stage.

Weetch stated: “Without the help of MTK Global, I wouldn’t even be boxing. In 2016, they sponsored me to cover the cost of surgery after a career-threatening injury so I feel I’ve been part of the team since then. “To sign a management agreement with the best team in world boxing is the stuff dreams are made of. I’m already IBF Pan-Pacific champion and I know with MTK Global behind me the belts won’t stop there. Hopefully we can start pushing on to some big fights and get some good names on my résumé in the UK. I’m very excited for what the future holds.”

Weetch’s co-manager Anthony Connolly, added: “Since coming back from surgery 12 months ago, Jamie has showed us the type of form which has seen him become the most avoided light-middleweight in Australia. “Jamie’s come-forward, fan-friendly style has made him a hit with the boxing community across the country and we’re looking forward to being able to showcase him to a wider audience.”
